Not sure what time he is showing up, but people gather at around 6pm -7pm.
Spiegel is in 2nd Street, on the corner of 1st Avenue. 2nd street runs from east to west, and 1st ave runs south to north. So I usually head over to Ave. A, which is two way, and then to 2nd Street. You’ll find lots of bikes and parking by the corner. But if you come up on first avenue, you’ll have to go around to 4th Street in order to turn right to ave A and down to 2nd Street.
Why am I going into so much detail? Because it is a common error to go to 2nd ave instead of 2nd Street.

I figured
So, I checked the rider’s blog. He left S.F., Ca. on May 3 on what looks like an R69 or so. He is riding the Lincoln Highway, which spans the US West to East by the shortest possible distance. It ends at 42nd Street, Times Square;
approximately 3,400 miles. He will have been on this trip for 95 days. Presently, Carl Reese holds the record for shortest time across the US on a motorcycle-28 hours, 50 minutes.
